The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department at SN Krishna Hospital, Ujjain, manages surgical conditions of the mouth, jaws, face, and neck. Our specialist treats facial injuries, jaw tumours, salivary gland disease, temporomandibular disorders, and complex dental extractions that cannot be performed in a dental chair.

Reconstructive procedures for post-traumatic deformities and oral cancers are undertaken with close cooperation between the surgical and oncology teams. Patients from Ujjain and the wider Malwa region are referred for conditions that go beyond routine dental care.

How we treat our patients

Assessment includes clinical examination, dental X-rays, panoramic radiography, and CT or MRI for complex cases. Minor surgical procedures are performed under local anaesthesia in the OPD procedure room. Major operations require general anaesthesia and a pre-operative workup including blood tests and anaesthetic review. Wound review and orthodontic liaison are arranged as part of post-operative follow-up.
