SN Krishna Hospital's Obstetrics & Gynaecology department provides care for women across all stages of life in Ujjain and the surrounding region. We offer antenatal care from the first trimester through delivery, supported by a dedicated labour ward and a NICU for at-risk newborns.

Our gynaecology services cover menstrual disorders, fibroids, PCOS, and both benign and malignant conditions of the female reproductive system. Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery is available for appropriate cases, reducing hospital stay and recovery time for patients who qualify.

Conditions we treat

High-Risk Pregnancy

Pregnancies complicated by hypertension, diabetes, twins, or prior obstetric complications requiring close monitoring.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

Camera examination of the uterine cavity to investigate abnormal bleeding and remove polyps or fibroids.

Colposcopy & LEEP

Detailed cervical examination and loop excision for pre-cancerous changes detected on Pap smear.

How we treat our patients

Pregnant women are registered in the first trimester and scheduled for regular antenatal visits, anomaly scans, and blood investigations. High-risk pregnancies receive additional monitoring and specialist input. Gynaecology patients undergo examination and targeted investigations before a tailored management plan is discussed. Surgical cases are planned through a pre-operative checklist and counselled thoroughly before consent.

Frequently asked questions

When should I register for antenatal care?

Register as early as possible, ideally before ten weeks of pregnancy. Early registration allows timely blood tests, dating scans, and first-trimester screening.

Do I need a referral for a gynaecology appointment?

No referral is needed. Walk-in appointments are available during OPD hours, Monday to Saturday.

What documents should I bring for my first antenatal visit?

Bring your last menstrual period date, any previous scan or blood reports, your husband's blood group, and a government ID.

Is the hospital empanelled for maternity insurance claims?

Yes. We process cashless and reimbursement claims for most major insurers and Ayushman Bharat. Contact the billing desk before admission.

Can my husband or family be present during delivery?

One support person may accompany you during labour if clinically appropriate. The attending team will guide you based on the situation at the time.
